Horseshoe Casino Indiana

The Horseshoe at Hammond is a great facility We like the video poker machines but the table games (blackjack/poker room) are always active. We don't play slots but there seems to be a great variety. The casino is clean and bright. The food everywhere is top notch. If you want a great steak -the steak house will impress you. The staff looks after you if you are part of the diamond club or seven stars The gift giveaways are the best in the area. Enjoy - don't miss it if you are in the area.

Watched Motown group "Human Nature" at the Venue on January 10, 2010. They were very good and the Venue is a very nice facility, we plan on going back to see another show. The same can't be said about the casino though. First parking was a nightmare, it took 20 minutes to find a spot. The lower levels were blocked so you had to enter on level 6, which was full. We had to go the the top, only to see it was full also. We then worked are way back down to find many spots open on level 4, poor organization. The casino was very crowded and smokey. Drink service was very slow, over 20 min., the waitress warned us beforehand though, she said only one bartender for twelve waitresses(understaffed). Very dirty with trash at all the games and about 5% of the video poker games were inoperable. Bathrooms were disgusting with no toilet paper in the stalls, inexcusable. This was the second time there since the remodel and it was just as dirty as last time, we won't be going back to gamble only to the Venue. Will travel futher south to the Majestic to gamble, they are much cleaner and less crowded.
